Pool party

Hello and welcome back to the crafty bubble after a very long time! Shari here sharing a card using a bunch of MFT products.

Pool Card

I began by stamping the images, colouring them with watercolour pencils and then I fussy cut them. On a piece of watercolour paper I made a wavy line with a pencil and used watercolour to make a pool-ish effect. I then used grey Copic markers to make a stone slab perimeter which didn’t really work but oh well. I used a grassy edge stencil and blended it on the rest of the card. After stamping my sentiment and adhering my images, I added some sparkle (because I am now addicted after the Kids Challenge) with Nuvo drops and that finishes my card.

Thanks for poinsettias

Hullo, Shari here again to share another card for you all!

poinsettia stitched card

I began with a piece of red paper and die cut an embroidered thanks die on it. I took green embroidery thread and stitched the sentiment for about an hour. After that, I die cut a poinsettia die with leaves and the bit in the centre. I stuck everything to a white card base and added shimmer spritz to the flower and leaves and Nuvo drops to the thingy in the middle and some randomly about the card.

Party like a flock star

Hullo! Shari here with another card to share with you all and enter into the Simon Says Stamp challenge.

rainbow bird card
Cute rainbow birdies

I started with a piece of watercolour paper and smooshed a rainbow of coloured inks onto it. The colour that looks almost invisible is green but it doesn’t show up well in the picture. When it dried, I stamped hummingbirds on various sections of the cards and took the same colour of inks and coloured over the birds to make them a bit darker. I then stamped a sentiment that has nothing to do with the card on the panel and finished off the card with black Nuvo drops for the eyes and clear sparkly ones around the sentiment.

Floral sprays

Welcome back to our crafty bubble for more inspirational cards for the Simon Says Stamp Kids Vacation Challenge 2019.

Floral sympathy card
Shari, Age 12

On a piece of white card stock I stamped a bunch of flowers and coloured them with markers. I added accents with a white gel pen and fussy cut the image. I lightly blended blue ink on a white card base, stamped the sentiment and stuck the image with foam tape. I added Nuvo drops to the leaves and florals and finished the card with clear drops and gems.

Watercoloured florals
Shai, Age 14

I embossed the image with platinum powder and used watercolours to colour the florals. On a white card base I blended blue and purple ink. It did not turn out as subtle as I wanted but I rolled with it. I splattered white paint on the background before sticking the flowers with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment on a white strip and stuck it on the card. A few Nuvo drops finished the card.

Don’t strain your neck too much!
Waterfall card with animals
Shari, Age 12

I saw a cute waterfall card online and my mum helped me find a tutorial and figure out the measurements for the waterfall panel. Once all the paper was cut, I stamped each image and sentiments on a square and coloured them. I then stuck each square to the waterfall panel. On a white card base, I stuck a piece of patterned paper and stuck the waterfall panel onto this. I brushed shimmer spritz over the cute critters for sparkle.

Daffodil in spring
Shai, Age 14

I love making backgrounds with Distress Oxide inks and I made another for this card on a white card base. I stamped the girl on a strip of card stock and coloured her with markers. I then fussy cut the image out and attached it to the card with foam tape. I added Nuvo drops and sequins as embellishments and a small square sentiment.

Today we’re sharing two cards for the Simon Says Stamp Kids Vacation Challenge 2019. Shai loves to draw and colour (my favourite hobby is reading), and my mum bought her 25 Copic markers to try out. We’ve been having fun using the markers on our cards.
